Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how HireConnect (“Application”, “App”) operated by Prodip Sikdar (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information. By using the App, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

What We Collect
We collect only the data necessary to provide core functionality. Specifically:
1) Location (while app is in use)
- Approximate location (network-based) and precise location (GPS/network) are accessed only when you use the app to:
- Show nearby job posts, and
- Calculate distance between you and a job location.
- Background location is not collected. We do not track your location when the app is closed or not in active use.
2) Device & Network
- Basic network information to connect to the internet and our services (e.g., reachability, Wi-Fi/Network state).
- Advertising/analytics identifiers may be collected by integrated third-party SDKs (see “Third-Party Services”).
3) User-Provided Content
- Job posts you create (e.g., title, category, date/time, payment, location/address you enter).
- Your account identifier (e.g., Firebase Auth UID) to attribute your posts.
4) Files You Save (ID Card)
- The App lets you download and save your ID card to your device storage. This is a user-initiated action. We do not upload your saved file unless you explicitly share it.
How We Use Your Data
- Provide core features (nearby jobs, distance calculations, job posting and listing).
- Improve reliability and app performance.
- Prevent abuse and ensure account security.
Data Storage & Retention
- Job posts and account identifiers are stored in our backend (e.g., Firebase/Firestore) as long as needed for the service or as required by law.
- Files you download (e.g., ID card) are stored locally on your device; you can delete them at any time using your file manager.
Sharing of Data
- We do not sell or rent your personal data.
- We may share data only to comply with law, enforce terms, or protect rights/safety.
Third-Party Services
The App may include third-party SDKs/services which have their own privacy practices. Please review their policies:
Advertising partners may collect device identifiers and performance metrics to serve and measure ads. You can reset or limit ad personalization from your device settings.
User Controls & Choices
- Location Permission: You can allow or deny location access. If denied, nearby/distance features may be limited.
- Account: You can request deletion of your account and associated job posts by writing to baburamsikdar18@gmail.com.
- Storage: You control files saved on your device (e.g., ID card). Delete them anytime.
- Ads Personalization: Manage ad personalization from device settings.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the relevant age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us to remove it.
International Transfers
Data may be processed on servers located outside your country. By using the App, you consent to such transfers subject to applicable law.
Prominent Disclosure & Consent
When a feature needs your location, the App shows a clear, in-app disclosure and requests permission. We access your approximate and/or precise location only while you are using the App to show nearby jobs and distance. You can deny permission, and you can change your choice anytime from device settings. We do not collect background location.

Our App may contain links to external sites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please review their policies.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date below.

INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, ACCESS_WIFI_STATE (connectivity);
ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION, ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION (location while in use);
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (read user-saved files, if applicable on your Android version);
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (legacy, maxSdkVersion=28; for saving files on older Android).
We do not request ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION.
